Black and White World?

Have you ever considered the fact that God didn't have to make the world as awe-inspiring and minutely detailed as He did? I was taking a walk a week ago and the thought struck me while I was observing trees and flowers in the beds. God could have made a world devoid of color, basic in dimension, and dull. Why didn't He? Why did He go to all that trouble, when He knew that the perfection wouldn't last? For that matter, why'd He create mankind if He knew what would happen? The suffering and separation that ensued would have made me pause. Sometimes I really am wowed by all the stuff God has made...the intricate perfection, the creativitiy, and humor. Why'd He do it? The answer sounds so trite: He loves us. That's a lot of love - and quite a bit of sacrifice too considering so many people just brush right past it all.
"The heavens declare the glory of God the skies proclaim His handiwork. Day unto day utters speech...there is no speech or language where their voice is not heard." Psalm 19:1-3

I know ... isn't it cool? I was thinking similar thoughts as I read through the first couple chapters of Genesis recently ...

I have had similiar thoughts before too. At least about the beauty and detail of God's world and how amazing He must be.
