One of my absolute favorite movies is Lord of the Rings. The lessons one can learn from the story is amazing. My favorite line of the first movie, Fellowship of the Ring, underlines kind of what we as believers need to keep in mind...
"I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened."
"So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."
There is only so much time we are given in this life. We need to be faithful to honestly ask God what to do with each moment we are given. Life is not easy. It can be scary and discouraging and overwhelming, but He has given us this time and,"all we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."
"And that is an encouraging thought."
