Department quirks

So this week was pretty quiet in my department. Busy, but quiet. I think the fact that so many women work so quietly in a confined space unnerves some people who pass through. Sometimes they almost tiptoe through. Oh well, we're just working away. We do stop and talk sometimes, but on the whole we're pretty concentrated. Life isn't without it's spice. The other day a co-worker from a different department left a lizard behind D's grapefruit on her desk. She didn't see it for quite a while, and when she did she was very startled. She's afraid of creepy crawlies. She takes it pretty well, after the initial shock. I have Hoops&YoYo on my desk, and Yoyo got pinned up by a tack yesterday. Poor lil' guy. Then Scrat was hiding in a box under my desk and his acorn moved. It's nice though, to have fun little things like that happen. We work pretty hard, so we can use the laugh.
