Three posts in a row... is the sky falling?

In desperation for relaxing reading material, I am diving in to David Copperfield. It's a gigantic book that even I, a bookworm, was hesitant to commit to. I almost forgot Dicken's knack for creating quirky characters. It's enjoyable so far, although I haven't become engrossed in the story.
It's been a long week, but I look forward to attending a wedding of a couple friends of mine tomorrow. It'll be great! I am also preparing for my sister's wedding. Went shopping tonight and got a few things. I need to take my other sister shopping with me for hair clips and a necklace. Crazy. I'm so glad the Lord provided a dress that I didn't have to pay for. Funny how formal dresses cost so much when you only l wear 'em once.
We are studying Colossians for house devotions. It took three weeks to get through chapter one, but I was blessed to study it! We were struck with just how much trouble and pain Jesus went through, to grab us back from our own sin and rebellion. It was encouraging to be reminded of just Who He is and what He's done. Having to prepare ahead of time, I've had a chance to learn the basics of Inductive Bible Study. Most of my life I've simply read through Scripture but not spent a lot of time thinking of what the words actually are saying, or being persistent in finding application for my life. I'd like to begin using it for my personal devotion times.
