A long work week has come to an end. Tomorrow, we get to serve at a local mission. We'll meet up with the rest of the intern group at 7am and spend the first half of the day doing whatever the staff have need for us to do. While I'm pretty tired out, I look forward to doing this.
Our neighbor has been gracious in letting me borrow his battery powered weed eater to tackle the jungle in our yard. While I have nothing against gas powered ones (if only they'd start!) I was glad to use this one, even though it tires out quickly (at least it starts).
This week has been a lot of ups and downs. However, praise the Lord, our department got completely caught up with incoming mail and database updates! I've been stretched in lots of ways, and as I see myself getting stretched even more I'm praying that what comes out is Jesus and not my flesh. I'm having to keep a sharp eye on myself. When one is tired it's easy to let down one's guard.
So somebody's wedding is coming up soon. I need to start gearing up mentally for the busy-ness, tons of details, makeup (gasp), and standing in heels for 4 or 5 hours. I am looking forward to seeing relatives, the rehearsal, the rehearsal dinner and the time of fellowship with the bride and close friends afterwards. Shh! don't tell her where we're going.
