Christmas party material

So my accomplishment for the evening was to pick out a beautiful skirt at the mall. A knee-length, silvery taffeta with jet black beads worked into a mesh outer skirt. $99.00. No, I didn't buy it, but it underscored my unfortunate taste for expensive clothing. Good grief, can you imagine paying $100 for half an outfit? Not to mention jewelry and shoes. Someone told me that people will shell out all their money in order to wear designer clothing, and be content to live in a tiny apartment and drive a beat up car. Just so long as they look good. I guess that never occurred to me.
