Can you steer the plow?

This verse came to my mind tonight:
Jesus replied, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God."(Luke 9:62)
If I were the horse harnessed to the plow, I'd need those blinker things. Would help to keep me looking straight ahead rather than to the side or even behind me.
